Hi everybody. Welcome to my blog about my past, and also welcome to the last day of September 2025.
I love to tell stories about my assistants and the models. One of my favorite stories was when I took my assistant out to go snorkeling while I dove down deep to see what was under this one coral head, and a giant barracuda came out. He was not happy. Well, the barracuda went after my assistant and showing his true form, used me to fend off the barracuda. Above is a cartoon from that moment. I’ve got lots of assistant stories, but I’ll actually talk about some great model moments.
One of my favorite model moments was when we were working and I heard a huge scream. Well, apparently the house owner had dug out a hole in the wall. He was having a sneak peek on the models as they were changing. Well, the models were raiding him and the guy sheepishly walked away.
One of my other funny model moments was when the models were getting their hair and makeup done. I was making small talk with a model while she was getting her makeup done. I said to her, “How’s everything going?” She replied, “Great! until this new model came into town and decided to sleep with my boyfriend. We ended up breaking up.” I said to the model, “Did you find out who it was?” She said, “Yeah,” and she pointed to the model who was at the end of the table who was getting her hair done. I thought, oh man, this is gonna be a long day. I hope no one gets murdered.
I have many model moments I could share with you, but I’ll share with you one more. I was working in Barbados. We had to do a swimwear shoot. Well, one model came out in a very small 70’s cut bikini. I wanted to get some shots in the waves, so I put her in the impact zone, where the water is really rough. Well, we were shooting and a giant wave came out of nowhere. It got the model pretty bad. In fact, it blew her swimsuit off. She washed up on the shoreline covered in sand and not very happy. Below is a cartoon from that moment.
