Hi everybody. Welcome to my blog where I talk about my present.
I’d like to dedicate this blog to my daughter. It’s her birthday today! Can you believe it? She’ll be 19. 19 going on 40. You know, my friends all often say, you have no grey hair why? Well, my kid lives in Texas. (Just kidding Sam.)
So I’m getting ready to go up to Albany. I was going to meet with the Governor, but it was changed to meet up with the chief handicap commissioner. She reports directly to the governor. It’s actually good I’m meeting this person. I think I’ll get more done working with her. The governor seems to be busy. I’m bringing up a bunch of petitions, the ones with comments. The comments really show that a decent sidewalk is needed in our village. What we have now is called a sidewalk, but it’s really a blacktop footpath. We need a sidewalk that’s accessible to everybody. You know, not just handicapped people, but the elderly, moms with strollers, everyone.
It’s good I’m meeting with the chief handicap commissioner as I want to talk with her about several other things. There needs to be more people working as home health aides. We gotta figure out a way to get more people helping people like myself. When you’re like this, you really want to be at home more, you know, so you have your own bed, have your friends stop by. Be in your own home. I’ve been in the other option, and believe me, it sucks. Anyway, let’s all try to figure it out.
Above is a photo of my daughter and I. She was about one in this picture. I’ll never forget. I was so nervous I didn’t know how to take care of a one year old, nor did I know where to take her on her first birthday. So, of course, I took her to a really trendy restaurant. But she seemed to have a good time. I didn’t have any drinks that night. Can you believe it? Oh wait. Can you believe I drank a lot? Anyway it was a fun night. She seemed to have a good time. And that bottle on the table - that’s hers - not mine.
Love and miss you guys. Love, B. Nice
