The Past

Hi everybody. Welcome to my blog where I talk about my past.

I love it. My friend here, goes to my bookshelf, pulls out one of my journals and I talk about a drawing she selects. The above drawing was from a trip I did to New Zealand. I would have to go there every six months to reinstate my visa for Australia. I always went to the same place. Milford Sound. Man, that’s probably one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. We took an old ferry up into the Fiords. The views were spectacular. I just remember cliffs, green hills and waterfalls. It was amazing. Nothing like it. Now, apparently, there’s a trail you can hike. I can’t do it anymore, but I would strongly suggest hiking this trail. The views must be amazing. The boat was pretty cool as well. It was featured in the Indiana Jones movie. It’s an old steam ship from the 20’s. It’s pretty cool. The views are amazing, but the food is not. At least it wasn’t when I was there. It might be different now. The idea is to fly into Christ Church. Then you would drive to Queenstown. I always stayed in Queenstown. The views driving from Christ Church to Queenstown are amazing. But don’t stare too much. You might drive right off the road.

Now, going back into Australia was not as exciting. The customs agents would always give me a hard time. They’d look at my passport and they’d see that I’d go to New Zealand every six months. They said, “Mate! What, you’r back again? What do you do?” I would always say, “I’m a surfer dude.” I was young and could get away with it. They would just shake their heads and roll their eyes and give me another six months. That was then. I’ll bet it’s a bit different now.

Anyway, that’s about all for today. I’ve been working on getting better sidewalks for this area. I’ll talk to you more about it later.

Love and miss you all. Love, B. Nice
