The Past

Hi everybody. Welcome to my blog where I talk about my past.

Above is a cartoon I did about coffee. Man, I loved coffee, and I still do to this day. I often think about the awesome places I’ve had coffee. London, Paris, New York, Sydney, Tokyo, Hawaii, Malaysia, just to name a few. And believe it or not, you know what’s the strongest coffee? Miami. Can you believe it? Cuban coffee in Miami is like jet fuel. I used to have a couple of coffees in the morning there before shooting. I felt like I could run back to New York, carrying a port-o-potty on my back, of course.

That’s all for this week. There’s a lot going on at present, but I’ll blog about it later, in my blog about the present.

Love and miss you guys.

Hi everybody. Welcome to the blog where I talk about the past. I’m gonna dedicate this blog to my friend here who’s writing this for me. She’s a big help, and believe me, I need all the help I can get.

OK, so I’m gonna share with you one other relationship story.

I was dating this young woman who was with one of New York City’s premier modeling agencies. The agency was having a big event and we were invited. We sat at a table with another photographer I knew. I was talking to my girlfriend. All of a sudden, she got hit on the head with something. Whatever hit her on the head landed on the table. I picked up whatever hit her on the head. It was heavy man. It was a battery pack from a video camera, and it was covered in blood. I looked at my girlfriend. She looked like she was in shock, and then all of a sudden, it looked like something out of a horror movie. Blood started pouring out of her hairline, all over her face. It was crazy. 911 was called and we rushed out to the front. It was total chaos. For whatever reason, the bouncer grabbed me. A bit of argument between me and him ensued and my girlfriend said, “No, he’s with me.” We jumped into the ambulance and sped off to the nearest ER. (Most ambulances will take you to the closest ER.) Anyway, the ER we went to was a strange ER. It was a weird hospital. We were in the ER and apparently, someone left a door open on the psych ward which was a few floors above us. Anyway, one of the psych patients, for whatever reason, found her way to our room. The patient thought I was a doctor, and that my name was Luke, from the 1980 soap “General Hospital.” (That was an interesting conversation.) Anyway, someone came and got her. They did some scans on my girlfriend and patched her up. She was OK. We decided to get a bite to eat, so we went to a local diner I knew. I still remember the name of it. It was the Empire Diner. Anyway, there were a few party goers in there. It must have been about 5 in the morning. It was a real editorial sight, I’m sure. We were both all dressed up. She looked beautiful but covered in dried blood. I wish I had my camera. It would have been an awesome shot.

Here we go with the thought of the nervous tick again. And you wonder why I’ve been married so many times. Anyway, I’m gonna try to go make some emails. Talk to you guys soon. Love and miss you all.

Love, B. Nice

Hi everybody. Welcome to the blog where I talk about the past.

A friend of my family stopped by. Actually, he’s a friend of my Da'd’s. He stops in once in a while to check in on me. Anyway, for whatever reason, we started talking about past relationships. He was curious about my previous relationships. I felt my old nervous tick coming on. (I used to have a nervous tick where I’d twitch my nose like a rabbit.) Anyway, I’ll share one relationship with you. It was crazy. It was when I lived in Paris, in the ‘90’s. I dated a French actress (that should reveal everything to you). The girl was cool though. She ran with a, well, let’s say, different crowd. I’ll set the mood for you. I think I told you this before, but I was at a dinner party with this crowd and the girl next to me started talking to me. I made small talk and asked her, “What are you doing this weekend?” She said, “Oh, I’m taking daddy’s jet. I’m going to London for a party. What are you doing this weekend?” I said, “Me? What am I doing this weekend? I’m doing my laundry.” It was fun going out with this young woman though. She actually came from a very famous French family. She was a distant relative of a famous French impressionist. You would know the name if I told you. It was kind of cool, because everywhere we went we would get good service at restaurants. Good tables, that sort of thing. Then we broke up and I got stuck in the back corner with the payphone and the coats.

I’ll share with you one other story with my adventures between her and I. She wanted to go stay at a “friend’s” house just outside of Paris. Well, we took the train to a small village just outside of Paris. She said it was a bit of a walk to her “friend’s” house. Oh man! I felt like I was on the Butan death march. It must have been a couple of marathons before we got there. Then, the guy, her “friend,” kept staring at me. He didn’t say much, he just stared at me. Then she told me he was a little “off” because he used to be an MI-5 agent. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep much.

I’m gonna leave it at that, because if I share anymore stories I’m gonna start drinking again, and I’m not supposed to drink with my meds.

Love and miss you guys,

Love, B. Nice

Hi everybody. Welcome to the blog where I talk about the past.

I’m gonna dedicate this blog to my friend in Australia. We’re all cooped up inside with our memories, right? Well, I have random memories from Australia. One memory has to do with my friend from Australia. You see, I was obsessed with wind surfing. I went out one day and it was awesome. Well, that day, I also promised my friend I would photograph the birth of her son. Well, she went into labor, and I thought I could get one more run in. That was a mistake. I was late. When I arrived in the delivery room, all of her anger, and tension and pain was directed at me. She yelled, “You’re LATE!” I thought I was gonna collapse. She was just giving birth when I got there. I didn’t even get my camera out. The midwife came to me when I was outside the delivery room and she showed me the placenta. I almost passed out.

I have lots of memories from Australia. One of the most vivid ones is, north of Port Douglas is northern Australia. Well, I basically drove until the road just ended. The road crew was building a new highway through the rain forest. I had a light four wheel drive rigged vehicle. It was great. A good vehicle. It looked like a jeep, but, anyway. I drove pretty much as far as I could. I wanted to check things out. I ended up on top of a ridge and the soil was deep. Up to my axel. It was sad what I saw. So imagine this. I was up on a ridge and then there was a scar in the Earth that went down the ridge into the valley and up another ridge on the other side. It looked like a surgeon did a cut with his scalpel. On the other ridge were the big tractors and machinery. They basically cut right through the rain forest. The earth was a rust color. Progress, right? Right now, it’s probably complete highway. You wouldn’t think twice about driving the 5 kilometers or so.

I’m gonna keep it short and end here. I have lots of things to share, and lots of things I won’t share. LOL.

I’ll talk to you guys next week.

Love, B. Nice

Hi everybody. Welcome to the blog where I talk about the past.

When I get all fired up when I’m all stressed out, I think about the past and how much fun it was. My life was great. It was like a 30 year party. I met some great people. A friend from the past got in touch with me last week and it reminded me how carefree and fun the past was. When I’m stuck at my house as we all are today, I remember taking pictures. I always had like four projects going on. If you look at my website, briannice.com, you’ll see I just love photography. Fashion, specifically, catalog work allowed me to make good money. With that money I did other projects like my landscape photography, my street photography as well as other stuff. If you’re an artist, you need another job to support what you love to do.

Anyway, that’s it for now. I’m gonna go back to daydreaming about the past.

Love and miss you guys. Love, B. Nice
