The Past

Hi everybody. Welcome to my blog where I talk about my past.

I love it. So my friend goes to my bookshelf picking out one of my journals and opening to a page and we talk about it. This blog entry is about wind in Hawaii.

Man! I’ll tell you, the conditions for shooting were always tough, especially in Hawaii. We had to work with high winds all the time. I finally set up a wind-block using a couple cube trucks. I always rented white cube trucks when working in Hawaii. They also acted as a great reflector. The wind was kind of a pain, but being a windsurfer, I loved it. It was really strong wind in August to the end of September. That’s when the wind really kicks in. But we always seemed to shoot around February. That was cool cause that’s when the big waves came. Wait. What are we talking about? Photography or surfing? My memories were taking me back to the beach and surfing or windsurfing. It was great because, if you couldn’t windsurf, you’d go to the other side of the island and surf. Hawaii was fun. One of my favorite places to work. A little tip for you guys out there is to stay at the Turtle bay Resort on the north shore of Oahu. Every room has a great view, and if you are so inclined, you can sit at the bar, have a beer and go out and surf, right there. There’s a great break at the beach right there at the Turtle Bay Resort.

The wind was tough though. It was strong. I mean real strong. It would kind of limit your days. So, unfortunately, I had to go to the bar and have a few beers and surf. I miss the good old days. Now I just hang out with my dog, who has the breath of a dragon.

I’m gonna keep it short for this week. Miss and love you guys. Love, B. Nice
